‘Diary of an Introvert’ – Part 3: The First Kiss

In case you haven’t, read the first part: The First Meet,  and the second part: St. Joseph’s, before you read further!

On the road to Saddharma Sadan…

It was dark and he was waiting on the road that leads to the Saddharma Sadan – NIT’s girls hostel. He looked at his watch and it was not working. He looked again towards the gate but couldn’t find anyone except the guard.

Someone called his name from behind. He turned back and was thrilled to see her. She smiled and he smiled back at her.

“What took you so long to come and see me?”, he asked.

She took his hand into her’s and planted a kiss on his fingers. One touch of her completely energized him and he felt as if his heart was crushed by someone to the core. He loved that feeling. Continue reading

‘Diary of an Introvert’ – Part 1: The First Meet

23 December, 2009

“80401037”

“Are you sure?”

I gave a sarcastic look. He left the counter and started to flip through the cards on the table. After waiting patiently for a considerable amount of time, he returned back with my library card. It was an irritating ritual to carry out before the books are issued.

I sprinted towards the ‘Reference’ section to find the book I wanted. I placed it between the two large HR books in reference section so that nobody can find it. I missed the exact location of the book and cursed myself for my over-smartness. Finally, after a treasure hunt of 5 racks and hundreds of books, I found it. Continue reading

Life @ M.B.A!!!

Never ever thought in my life that I would mention “sleeping” if I were to answer the question “what I do in my free time”.

Yes, sleeping is something that I miss the most after joining MBA. Gone were those good old days where the night after 10 pm was reserved for a movie or serial on lappy. Now, it is the auspicious time of the day when I open my books only to open my mouth and yawnnnnnn!!

After many trail and errors in the past three years, here I am enrolled in a MBA programme at Narsee Monjee (Its an Indian school, not a Mongolian) which the public refer to as NMIMS. And so my base shifted to Mumbai and I can proudly call myself a Mumbaikar. Amchi Mumbai!

10 June 2013 & First Week

The day I was looking for since 3 years. With a folder containing my certificates in one hand and a wet umbrella in the other, I am standing in front a gate that read Welcome to Batch 2013-15. There are many others like me and few “enthusiastic” ones with a blazer and a tie. I hardly managed to tuck in my “phormal” shirt.  It was the inauguration day and I was excited yet skeptic looking at the number of people who sat on the dais.

Bingo!!! 3 hours of non-stop slaughtering by the speakers followed by a delicious meal offered by the college. Once again the ritual of “I-have-the-mike-and-i-speak-forever” started that made me uncomfortable to doze off.  The day one is over and I am now an M.B.A in making. Feeling awesome.

The next day, we were supposed to go to Khopoli for outbound training but the God Varuna had other plans for us. We ended up having in-bound training in the same hall we had inauguration. It was fun to involve in team games, silly strategic games and round table conferences. It was a day I cherished a lot after the hectic inauguration ritual.

The other days followed by introducing us to case studies, simulation games and personal communication. Phew!! And then comes the day we all were eagerly waiting for. Mumbai Darshan!

It’s the NM’s version of the Amazing Race. Oh God! What a funtabulous time I had. Made many friends, chased the destinations on taxis, autos and trains, clicked the pictures infront of Ambani’s Antilla,  Infiniti mall, Jaguar & Rolls-Royce cars, took over the control of a Vadapav shop in Juhu beach, gave weird poses at Bandra-Worli sea link and what not. It was the most tiresome yet the most exciting and entertaining day so far. Mumbai, meri jaaan!!!

REWIND 2009…

It’s already Dec 30 and I haven’t still come out of the “2009 hangover”. I am still wrapped up in the memories of 2009 and I am not in a mood to loose this wonderful year. Many years have passed and many years are yet to come, but there will be very few which will remain with me forever and 2009 is definitely one among them.

Jan – Started out with New Year hungama wishing the entire Vizag from the golden sands of RK beach. 15 friends, 6 bikes with tank full of petrol (no need to write what we did…Hope you understand). I am completely confused whether to go for TCS or M.S.

151…Experienced Certainty

Once up on a time, there was a placement drive in a reputed private university in the beautiful city of Vizag. The placement drive was conducted by a very well known and established company that makes you experience Certainty. They were very certain in what they want from this college. They did things as per their plan and recruited 151 students. These 151 students were on Cloud 99 as they got into a world class company. Adding to it, they were overjoyed to the thought that they are going to experience certainty, ever experienced by them, in the near future.
Days passed on and the students in the campus slowly Continue reading

The Last Night…

There were a few high tides in the sea. We sat on the wet rocks on the sea shore of Teneti Park. The cool breeze from the sea soothed us. And…

” I feel that these 4 years of engineering went on like a few seconds.”
” Yup! Me too. Of course this happens to every one. One has to pass through these stages.”
“It’s really been a wonderful time to spend in Vizag. I miss this place, this atmosphere.”
“Yes. This place is like heaven. But I’m not gona miss this.” Continue reading
